George Will reported that a new release of extended versions of Nixon’s papers confirms that the SOB extended the Vietnam war from 1968 to 1972.

“In the four years between the sabotage and what Kissinger termed “peace at hand” just prior to the 1972 election, more than 20,000 US troops died in Vietnam. More than 100,000 were wounded. More than a million Vietnamese were killed.

“But in 1973, Kissinger was given the Nobel Peace Prize for negotiating the same settlement he helped sabotage in 1968.”

LBJ wanted to “go public”, but the Democrat SOB Clark Clifford talked him out of it.

If I cook an animal, I try to make the meal better than good to honor the creature that gave its life so we can eat.

I think I did that today with a superb soup/stew made with a piece of pork I bought yesterday at Market Basket.

I also made some really good meatballs from ground turkey.

I rendered the fat in the pork to feed the birds.

Kitchen was very busy but I managed to squeeze in some programming and laundry as well as several anti-BS/pro-HRC posts, one of which has received 22 likes so far.

The current spin by the Sandernistas is that the Democratic party superdelegate rules are “unfair”.

Enough with the ignorant paranoia and learn some history: the Democratic party created that system to avoid the 1972 McGovern/Eagleton convention disaster, which resulted in a Nixon/Agnew victory in the General.

Those are the rules, and BS knew it going in as a Democrat. If he’d wanted to run as an Independent, he wouldn’t have been subject to those rules.

I’m betting that the patriarchy is getting a good laugh from the catfighting between female Hillary and Bernie supporters.

Lena Dunham, the star of Girls, is on what I hope is a short medical leave because of endometriosis.

I was horrified to read that some doctors still refuse to treat this disease because of their belief that women’s pain is imaginary.

It reminded me of the years I battled with this and how angry I was with this body which betrayed and tortured me every damned month.

I wonder if that’s how cancer patients feel.

I think it’s naive to assume that the Black community in South Carolina isn’t affected by the same envy that buried the Clinton campaign in New Hampshire.

Having gotten to know our neighbors across the street, I’ve seen the sacrifices that people make to be part of the 1%.

Naturally, you have to be born with looks, charm and the “right” physique – for men, tall, for women, petite.

You also have to have a little luck:  timing for one.  No one succeeds without opportunity.

But after that, it’s a matter of discipline, and for that reason, I can’t help but admire people who have “made it” on their own.

No one went to work today.  The storm started at 6 am and ended early.  We had enough daylight to clear the driveway and front walkway (Ron), shovel the deck (me) and clean off the truck.

This snow was light and fluffy, not like the one last weekend.

Jim pulled the trigger on MRS and Nicole and I have been busy tying up loose ends.  I’m pretty much done with dotMailer.  Gift certificates is up next, I think.

Ron got these done today.

Furnace filter replacement went without incident.  Not so much with the snow blower; Ron ignored my suggestion to put down newspaper and ended up getting oil all over the deck and the driveway.

He tried hooking up a hose to the hot water pipe leading to the outdoor shower, but the hose was frozen solid.  So, I picked up a new hose at TrueValue and dumped an entire bottle of Dawn on the oil slicks.

Yes, I was raving mad.

Screamed and pounded the bureau as I watched the Democrat debate last night on MSNBC.com Glad that Hillary called out BS on his cheap shots about her alleged Wall Street connections.

“Clinton’s campaign manager, Robbie Mook, denied suggestions his candidate may have come across as too aggressive by accusing Sanders of “artful smears”.

“Senator Sanders has repeatedly made veiled accusations against her. All she was asking him to do was lay it out,” he said.”

Bravo.

Unpleasant exchange with a friend on Facebook. I hadn’t realized that being “beautiful” equates in her mind to good health. She suffered a lot mentally while she was receiving chemo.

Ron continues to talk about “we” in reference to his prior. I have nothing of value to him; for all his complaints, I think those years were happy for him. Not like now when we struggle financially and physically.

It’s been raining all night, might start snowing in a little while.
