Put mulch on the corner garden yesterday. Watered. Gave Laura an assist on one of her assignments.
It’s raining now and expected to last most of the day.
I went to Hyannis to get records from my dental surgery. Turns out, the surgical center will use the same vile stuff on Thursday.
With Robert’s help and some back and forth, we got AppleCare+ for Ron’s phone. I got Ron’s yahoo email account working, too.

Got up early. Ron did the laundry and hung everything outside, including the sheets.
I watered trees and loaded the truck for the transfer station. Peter helped at Edgewater. Drove Robert to work and met Cathy and Cindy for Cindy’s birthday brunch.
Finished weeding grass out of the garden. Planted the Romaine lettuce and brussel sprouts.
Watered the back lawn. Ron mowed the front.
I think my arms are going to fall off soon.
Ron was off to Cambridge today to deliver an order for the bakery and stop at Peet’s in Newton on the way home.
I planted a new lupine and transplanted our old lupine in the corner garden to replace the rhodie. Also picked up lettuce and brussel sprouts from the discount garden center.
Stopped by Green Goddess Herbals for mechanics hand soap. Had a brief but nice chat with Andrea, who has known Liz for quite some time. Small world.
I pushed today and got a lot of outdoor stuff done.
Did a deep prune and sprayed horticultural oil on the roses. Did some watering. Transplanted the little rhodie from the corner garden.
Ron had a PT appointment and went to work.
We went to “No Place Special” for a fine concert of original acoustical music. Met “Ma” Sue, who is a senior tax advisor for H&R Block, and had a long chat with “Pa” Ricci, who made it a point to visit with us to make us feel welcome.
The guys from Talbot transplanted the red maple and the eastern redbud. They were great, and very easy to work with.
James and I cleaned, fertilized and mulched over 20 bushes in the back yard.
Each bag of mulch weighs 38 pounds! Which means that this week, I’ve hauled half a ton of “stuff” (20 bags plus 300 pounds of building materials).
I dropped James off at 3 and picked up Alpha for YAG. Forgot my book, so I passed the time at two nice beaches on Hyannis Harbor, Veteran’s Park being one.
After bringing Alpha home, I gave Robert a lift from work.

You’re not going to believe Sanders’ latest smear target: Emily’s List, the organization that’s been supporting pro-choice Democratic women candidates since 1985.
This, from Politico:
“In his email for Lucy Flores, a House candidate in Nevada, Sanders writes that her story “will probably anger you, but hopefully, it will also inspire you to take action in support of” Flores. The Vermont senator writes that EMILY’s List endorsed Flores when she ran in 2014, calling her an “inspiring community leader.” But, he said, that changed in the 2016 cycle: “But then Lucy Flores endorsed our political revolution before the Nevada caucus, and everything changed. EMILY’s List decided to endorse a different person in Lucy’s House race this time around. So I want to support Lucy like she’s supported us, because we stand together,” writes Sanders.
“But EMILY’s List does, in fact, back some candidates who have endorsed Sanders. And that includes Pramila Jayapal, a House candidate in Washington who also got a round of fundraising emails from Sanders on Monday — though with a message that didn’t mention EMILY’s List. The group also backs Vermont gubernatorial candidate Sue Minter, another Sanders supporter.
“Bernie Sanders believes the political revolution is built by calling women leaders ‘unqualified’ and calling abortion a ‘social issue.’ So it’s not surprising at all that he doesn’t get what we do and has resorted to these false, disingenuous attacks,” said Marcy Stech, the group’s communications director. “Perhaps if Sanders stuck to issues, not insults, he’d realize that electing pro-Democratic women is, in fact, revolutionary. The key difference is, we don’t just talk about it — we know how to get it done.”

I’ve had the philosophy for a long time that it was a good idea to do at least one thing every day that I didn’t want to do.
At this age, though, it’s become impossible to grit my teeth and keep it buttoned where other people are concerned.
I’m at the point of no return with people who treat the carb giveaway at the Senior Center as a pseudo-social event. It’s an exercise in greed and I say, treat it that way.
Similarly with volunteering with the Highfield Gardeners. Too much phoney comraderie, offered with fake smiles and upturned noses.
I started off on the wrong foot by reading the political news this morning. Today is the New York state primaries, and the Spoiled Brat Crusade is having temper tantrums and throwing around its usual recipe of slime and innuendos.
It brings back all the lousy things that happened to me in business. If I could do it all again, I wouldn’t.
