Firewood

I went with Emma to meet a buyer for her track lighting at the Burger King on the south side of 24 at the 495 intersection. We picked up fence pickets at the Lowe’s in West Bridgewater and she treated to an excellent dinner. We talked for 4 hours straight!

Yesterday at her house, Ron and I stacked two truckloads of the oak that he had cut.

Day before yesterday, the brother of the neighbor across the street at Edgewater asked if we wanted the wood from the maple he’d felled, so I put in a Craigslist ad and it was gone by 5:30 yesterday, along with the rest of the oak from our yard.

After supper, Ron and I cleaned up the driveway so Peter could move the White Whale.

We did a little taxi-ing for the family while Peter was at a seminar in Boston. On Monday, I had a fitting for a foot brace in Westwood. Ed the electrician got the new range hood installed.

Ron got some bad news about his teeth. He needs a tremendous amount of work, about the cost of a new car. He’s worried that he won’t be able to eat unless he has the work done.

I closed out my retirement account to get caught up on bills.

Steve fixed the dishwasher door earlier this week. I checked out a leaf shredder in Osterville but it was too small. The one in Bridgewater looks good but it needs a new part, so am waiting for word on that.
