Gardener’s Diary

Planted two geraniums yesterday and a Delphinium today.  Hoping against hope that the Delph blooms this season and winters over.  It was the last purple/blue one at Attaquin.  I think it got passed over because it doesn’t have blossoms.

Need to do: beets and cukes.

Ron and I weeded and mulched the grass garden at Edgewater today.  It looks beautiful!  He got a good price on mulch at Botello, interestingly enough: they matched Waquoit.  Made me appreciate the great pre-season deal at Scenic Roots.  Maybe will get more next year.

Roses are starting to bloom.  Poor little things haven’t recovered yet from the damned caterpillars.

Ron has worked hard all day. He put the primer coat on the bench and has just finished washing the green table and a big 5-gallon bucket.
