Ron took us out for dinner to Bobby Byrne’s, one of the few restaurants that offers a free birthday dinner. Today is Tuesday, and they run prix fixe specials for $10.95. Good luck for us, indeed; we split orders of meatloaf and fish and chips, both delicious. Our dinners included soup, coffee and dessert. We were stuffed to the gills and not bankrupt, even though I ordered two glasses of wine at Ron’s insistence.
