Lean-To Shed
“I don’t know what I’m doing but I must be doing something right.” Ron and Joe placed the lean-to shed so that it almost exactly meets setback requirements. A bigger shed would have put us over.
They figured out this morning that the shingles I thought would work are non-standard. Miraculously, Joe had some in his shed that did the job.
I’ve made so many mistakes along the way, something I’m not used to. Thank goodness for Joe!
Hyannis Harbor
Yesterday was Alpha’s YAG meeting, so after picking up shed roof supplies at Home Depot, I sat for a while at the JFK/Korean War Memorial parks overlooking Hyannis Harbor.
Shed: Plan B
Ron and Joe have been working on the lean-to shed for the past two days.
We discovered that the shed is too tall for the Plan A location on the cement slab, so the guys are constructing it near the driveway.
They got the walls built yesterday and the foundation and floor today.
I picked up a few things that didn’t come with the kit, like L-brackets and pea gravel, as well as roof felt, drip edge and hardware cloth to keep the critters out.
I made stir fry tonight with spiralized squash, beans, tomatoes, garlic and shrimp. Cut up a bunch of fruit yesterday: pineapple, watermelon, grapes, blueberries. Also made pesto.
Drove Robert and Alpha today, Robert and James yesterday.
