This Will Happen Again

Until people stop treating adoption like teddy bears and lace, more and more kids will end up like a 11 year old girl from Westfield: critically injured by the very people who are supposed to protect them, their so-called “parents”.

Currently, there is little hope for her recovery. She’d been beaten with a baseball bat, thrown down stairs and made to stand in hot water by her adoptive “mother” and stepfather.
Several witness told police that they saw the alleged abuse take place, but apparently did nothing.
This is the core of it: adoptees are considered to be property, even more so than natural children, sort of like buying an appliance. If a piece of equipment doesn’t “work” as advertised, you try to “fix” it, with hot water and a baseball bat.
