Have been working in the yard off and on for the last 8 hours.
There was so much weeding to be done, and I’ll bet when I start again tomorrow, I’ll find even more.
I’ve managed to keep the gardens alive and even reasonably healthy, and I’ve been pretty good about pruning, but not weeding.
It helps that it’s a picture-perfect day: dry, a nice breeze, not too hot. There’s a music festival across the street.
I gave the sick butterfly bush to Candy, and she put it in the ground immediately. I dead-headed the new butterfly along with some other plants, including the beautiful purple hydrangea in the front.
In fact, I’ve mostly been working in the front today; along with dead-heading, I got a huge chunk of the driveway weeded, in fact, almost all of it.
There are four tiny tomatoes and lots of flowers.
At the end of the day, I bleached and cleaned the top of “shedette” and applied a coat of Thompson’s.
