Did We Expose Ourselves to COVID-19?

I suggested that we attend the Food Truck and Craft Beer event at the Fairgrounds yesterday.

I inadvertently almost backed into a car in the parking lot. The attendant didn’t bother to see if ours was still running and it never occurred to me to look (not too swift but still…)

Fortunately, another person yelled for me to stop before I hit anything.

Naturally, the other driver tried to pass off an old dent as something I caused, which sent me into a fury. His wife was great; he was an asshole.

The event staff made us wait in line to be admitted, even though we’d pre-purchased our tickets.

The food trucks we visited were good – spring rolls and a burrito with potatoes. The beer was less than stellar for $8 a can.

There were not enough tables. We shared one with a couple so tight-assed that you couldn’t poke a straw.

It was horrible all the way around, and I can’t believe that I put us at risk. If brains were dynamite, I wouldn’t have enough to part my hair.

Farm, Buddy Escapes, Ron Donates Blood

I did an hour of tomato-picking at the farm on Wednesday.

Poured on Thursday morning.

Ron donated blood on Thursday afternoon. I was anemic. I had sudden, terrible IBS and we hit a traffic jam on the way back home. Had to clean the bathroom, the kitchen floor and Ron’s van.

Buddy escaped to the field (I made the mistake of taking him there the day before) but after we walked through the field and drove around several neighborhoods, he came back on his own. Later, he escaped from the porch, but we were both in the yard, so he decided to play “tag” with us instead.

Ron did the transfer station run yesterday and a shop. He also did a great job setting up poles to anchor the hibiscus, which is huge, and the gigantic lilies.

I haven’t wanted to do much of anything lately. Getting tired of the gardens, too. Been a terrible year for squash, pretty good for cukes, and so-so for tomatoes.

I’m ready for Fall.

Buddy

We brought him home this past Tuesday. This morning (Thursday) he escaped. Ron followed him to about halfway down Holly Farm.

I’ve been making calls for vet appointments. Everyone is booked to the max, especially for surgeries.
I was able to get him a Seresto collar and food yesterday.

Air Fryer, Dead Heading, Beignets, Stress Test

I dad a nuclear stress test two days ago. Feeling lightheaded yesterday, think it was from neck strain.

Made beignets from an ancient package of Cafe Du Monde mix. Very sticky, overworked it. We ate all of them anyway.

Changed the irrigation schedule to even numbered dates.

Cathy dropped by for cukes.

Fell out of bed and hit my head on something hard and wooden. Okay this morning.
