We met with our tax preparer yesterday.  As always, we had a good conversation and received good advice.

Today, we managed to get through everything we wanted to do, including transfer station run and more snow removal at Edgewater.  Ron is pleased with our progress.  He also brought over a piece of melamine for Peter’s new standing desk, and it fit well.

I made a vegetable/scallop casserole and roasted asparagus for lunch.  Too bland for Ron, but perfect for me.  Tomatoes, summer squash, onions, garlic, rice, cheese.

 

We received another 7 give or take inches of snow yesterday.

Ron and I shoveled out the driveway plus.  There is no place to put the snow at the foot of the driveway, so I hauled it across the street, thus watering our neighbor’s grass, or technically, the town’s grass.

It’s snowing again and has been for some hours, and it’s not showing signs of abating any time soon. Ron and I are exhausted from shovelling. We were at Edgewater for only about an hour and a half yesterday, and that was plenty.

We made a really nice brunch for ourselves today: hash browns with onions; eggs with zuccini, red pepper, onions and cheese. Coconut custard pie and tea for dessert.

Last night, we had grilled fish and vegetables.

We signed up for bedroom carpeting from Empire yesterday. Put them off for a couple of weeks so we’ll have time to organize beforehand.

We spent part of yesterday afternoon removing snow and ice from the roof at Edgewater. Very difficult, very tiring.

Supposed to be getting more snow this week – 3 to 5.

Had full x rays and teeth cleaning today. Crown and a second cleaning on the 31st.

Ron volunteered to drive Emme to an appointment in Hyannis so that Peter could follow-up with his doctor. They went to lunch at the Green restaurant in Hyannis as an extra birthday present!

Ron also managed to clear the remaining clump of snow that we think was blocking one of the solar panels.

I stumbled across this photo today.

They scare me. The Cohens scared me. I was frightened every day of my life with them.
