Sense of smell has returned, a good and a bad thing.
Job interview tomorrow in town.

Job interview tomorrow in town.
I told Ron, “You’re in trouble.” He said, “Good!”
I planted the window boxes and starting yesterday, brought the jasmine outside. Ron hooked up the back hoses and confirmed that the beautiful sprinkler survived the winter.
VonHaam put me on predisone. I just barely made it to the Selectmen’s meeting last night to ask about Article 25 . They were very nice to me. Visited Spohr Garden but not very many blooms yet.
Picked up 5-10-5 today at Waquoit. Put out four deck chairs and the umbrella; it’s time. Shirtsleeves temps today.
Ron slept all afternoon until 8, so I sorted through his piles of papers. Did a lot of filing, recycling and setting aside for shredding or for him to go through. Ron’s big check from his health care reimbursement account came yesterday and I deposited it on the way to the doc’s.
Burgers, salad and free blueberry pie for supper tonight. Ron’s right: we have to start putting our day-olds in the frig now before the plants get them.
“Canonical” means “preferred”; “canonical” means “preferred”; “canonical” means “preferred”.
It really is that simple.
The disease that flattened me for the past week finally found Ron. He’s sick as a dog today.
I’m better but my eye sockets are still a mess. Thinking it might be eczema. Hope to see vonHaam tomorrow.
Hyacinths are coming up. Fluffles’ grass is tall enough for him to eat. We had frost last night; I’m just as glad I’ve been too sick to put in cold weather annuals.
I’ve been out of commission this week but still am taken aback that it’s already Saturday.
Ron and I met with a construction person yesterday at Edgewater who fixed our chimney flashing on the spot for the cost of a tube of caulk versus $510 versus $1000+.
One of our neighbors, a girl from Leatherleaf, stopped by last night to thank me for my letter to the editor defending Sturgis. She’s a junior at the school. Props to her! This morning, a gentleman who ran for School Committee a couple of years ago called to thank me. I’m waiting for the hate mail now.
Ron just got up. Now HE’S sick. Unfortunately, the only healthy one among us, Fluffles, can’t drive or use an ATM.
Ron’s been filling in for me with vendor appointments and a community activity.
The bug attack is now like a really bad cold. I just took a Benadryl-like tablet because my eyes and face have been so itchy.
Have been gathering info and roughing out our taxes, trying to do something productive while shut-in.

I’ve been awake since a little after 1. Fluffles was roaring and hungry, so just as well that I was up to feed him.
I’ve got a chest cold that started some time over the weekend. Felt awful yesterday but a bit better now.
We’ve been gathering estimates on home improvements. Ron was very impressed with one proposal to finish the basement with non-organic materials. It would increase our living space by almost half, so an excellent investment. Now, if we can figure out how to afford it.
