Bubble Gun

I’m not big on plastic toys, but made an exception at last night’s Hyannis street fair.

While I was listening to a terrific local rock and soul band, the Moonlighters, I noticed a stream of bubbles from a hand-held bubble gun similar to this one.
I can’t think of many things for the price that are prettier or more festive than a slew of irridescent bubbles on a nice summer night.
Bubble guns have evolved from the old “dip and fire” kind, and the one I bought uses 2 double A batteries and comes with two refillable cartridges of “ammo”, so you can fire a continuous stream without reloading.
The vendor sold me one for $7, without batteries; they probably have them at Walmart’s for less.
