Saw the beautiful Harvest Super Moon last night.
We’ve been experiencing a short Indian Summer but a freeze is expected soon.
The beans, zukes and hibiscus have been done for a few days now. Tomatoes still ripening. Sadly, the Brandywines on the porch have done pretty well but way too late.
I’m hoping the lilac will shed its leaves soon. They are still wrinkled and discolored, hope the roots have established themselves.
The Montauk daisy has bloomed!
I’ve been catching up, reviewed and deleted thousands of emails. In the process, I found an invoice from the plumber dated early September. Ron and I wrote and mailed checks today.
I started reading a streaming version of “Gone With The Wind”. Margaret Mitchell wrote a heck of a yarn. So much better than the film.
Yesterday I finally got around to trying the soy curls. Soaked, seasoned and cooked them in the big frying pan. They turned out great and we had the remainder with a green salad tonight. Our small attempt to make the soy farmers who have lost the Chinese market whole.
Finally took the big air conditioner out of the living room window.
