We met our new neighbors yesterday and brought them a fruit tray.
Today their moving truck got stuck halfway across the street. Ron helped by directing traffic and had a good chat with the driver.
I had a mammogram this morning. We had yogurt sundaes and listened to a lecture on high blood pressure at Harper.
Over the Labor Day weekend I did a lot of weeding along the driveway and in the corner garden. I think Ron hauled it all to the transfer station along with recyclables.
I got a call on Saturday or Sunday about plants I’d ordered months ago. Picked them up at Holiday Brook Farm in Dalton. Brought Jett who barked at their ostriches: how helpful.
Yesterday (Monday) I baked a vegetable pie. Outstanding but a lot of work. Baked eggplant this morning before my visit to North Adams Regional Hospital Imaging Department.
The new lilac arrived today. It’s sitting in a bucket getting rehydrated. Looked pathetic when I unpacked it, hope it’s okay. Still figuring it where to put it. The transplanted Montauk daisy doesn’t look real great, bottom leaves look like they will fall off soon.
