I think it’s naive to assume that the Black community in South Carolina isn’t affected by the same envy that buried the Clinton campaign in New Hampshire.<\/p>
Having gotten to know our neighbors across the street, I’ve seen the sacrifices that people make to be part of the 1%.<\/p>
Naturally, you have to be born with looks, charm and the “right” physique – for men, tall, for women, petite.<\/p>
You also have to have a little luck: \u00a0timing for one. \u00a0No one succeeds without opportunity.<\/p>
But after that, it’s a matter of discipline, and for that reason, I can’t help but admire people who have “made it” on their own.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
