Boggles the mind, doesn&#8217;t it?<br \/>\nThanks to the perpetually barking mutt next door, I am growing to really hate golden retrievers: Huskies rule.<br \/>\nPeter and I discovered this week that we have a lot more equity in #11 than some of our friends, who have lived here a lot longer.<br \/>\nMakes me feel a little better about waiting &#8220;too long&#8221; to buy property on Cape Cod, where the average sale price of property last month was $369,662.00.  That is, the average sale price of property <em>under<\/em> a million.<\/p><p><!--more--><br \/>\nI discovered this week that I can get in to a nice condo on Quadra Island, BC, for $55,000 (USD).<br \/>\nOn the East Coast, the median price for property in Charlottetown, PEI is $102,366 (USD).<br \/>\nThis <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lank.com\/images\/05018664.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">four-bedroom Cape<\/a> with 1.65 acres and an unobstructed ocean view is listing for $189,500 (Canadian), or about $165,000 US.<br \/>\nKinda makes you think, doesn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are people who think that yard work is a bore.
