{"id":23386,"date":"2026-04-16T21:12:54","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T02:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=23386"},"modified":"2026-04-16T21:12:54","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T02:12:54","slug":"food-pantry-aldi-forsythia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=23386","title":{"rendered":"Food Pantry, Aldi, Forsythia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yesterday we did the semi-monthly run to the Pantry barely before noon, then Aldi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, we have piles of produce, bread, eggs and butter plus cereal, cookies, crackers, chips, pizza, ice cream, wine and even some vegetarian bacon (two packages).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We piled the supper dishes, unrinsed, into the dishwasher for storage.  I scraped them and ran it full today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jett has been outside quite a bit today, first with me for fetch and while I picked up trumps, then with Ron and me while we had lunch on the deck and then playing fetch with Ron this afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dishes and taxes done and bills paid, I worked on the forsythia for an hour this afternoon.  It was 82 degrees.  The section I trimmed looks nice but more to do tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can&#8217;t believe that Hegseth quoted a fake Bible verse from a Quentin Tarantino film at one of his prayer meetings.
