The only waffler I&#8217;ve found so far is Sumner Redstone&#8217;s (&#8220;the re-election of President Bush would be best for Viacom&#8217;s interests&#8221;) CBS.<br \/>\nAnd good for the networks for using split screens during the broadcast, thus ignoring the rules of the discredited Commission on Presidential Debates.<\/p><p><!--more--><br \/>\nKerry won on both substance AND style, reducing Bush to petulant whining and grimacing about what &#8220;hard work&#8221; his job is.<br \/>\nThe impression left is that this spoiled son of aristocrats had no notion, and probably still doesn&#8217;t, of the true meaning of the word &#8220;work&#8221;.<br \/>\nFurther, Kerry countered every reference to the infamous &#8220;flip-flop&#8221; label with hard facts and solid arguments, including his &#8220;which is worse&#8221; comparison, which should become this campaign&#8217;s catch phrase.<br \/>\nAnd Mount St. Helens cooperated by not pre-empting the post-debate coverage with a newsworthy display &#8211; at least, not yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the first time since the Democratic primaries, I&#8217;m starting to believe that John Kerry was the right man for the job.
