{"id":1966,"date":"2011-03-06T22:28:56","date_gmt":"2011-03-07T03:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/wp\/?p=1966"},"modified":"2011-03-06T22:28:56","modified_gmt":"2011-03-07T03:28:56","slug":"super-bed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=1966","title":{"rendered":"Super Bed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been gnawing over how to arrange furniture so that Ron and I will have enough room to sleep comfortably when he comes for a visit next week.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/100_44401.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/100_44401-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"100_4440\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1987\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nIt was fabulous to sleep on a king in Richmond, but I didn&#8217;t want to get rid of the double, which I&#8217;ve had for only four years.<\/p><p>I had the idea to buy a twin and put them together with a device called a &#8220;make a king&#8221;.  It&#8217;s a heavy duty strap and a pad designed to work with two twins, but does fine with this configuration as well.<\/p><p>The result is a gigantic and very comfortable bed, 90 inches wide.<\/p><p>I picked up a nice cotton spread.  Washable, which is fortunate: today, Fluffles, who loves it, threw up all over it.
