\nIt feels like your campaign has been asleep for weeks, allowing Bush and his cronies to have a field day with their usual flood of innuendos and lies.
\nBush is not an idiot – he’s a cunning manipulator, and his handlers are brilliant at appealling to the worst of voters’ prejudices and fears.
\nTheir slanders and distortions need to be engaged, head-on, with exactly the kind of message you gave last night: Bush is a fraud, a coward and a destroyer of the middle class. He thumbs his nose at our values. He would destroy our environment, our Supreme Court and our schools, all for the benefit of his “base”, the self-serving wealthy.
\nPlease keep on message, that George Bush has been a disaster for our country, and that the public deserves a Head of State who is honorable, decent, and respectful of ALL our values, including tolerance for those who are “different” and a willingness to develop our rich human resources, regardless of background or class.
