{"id":1872,"date":"2011-02-01T11:18:20","date_gmt":"2011-02-01T16:18:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/wp\/?p=1872"},"modified":"2011-02-01T11:18:20","modified_gmt":"2011-02-01T16:18:20","slug":"flaws-and-virtues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=1872","title":{"rendered":"Flaws and Virtues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My husband Ron is bright and good-natured, a combination hard to find.<\/p><p>He can also be self-absorbed, easily frustrated and an inveterate procrastinator.<\/p><p>I am very hard-working, considerate most of the time to friends and family, reasonably well-informed, and a decent cook.<\/p><p>I am also impatient, distrustful, frequently late, and have a vicious temper when provoked.  I am poor at foreign languages, physically unattractive and have no sense of style.<\/p><p>We all make compromises.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/t3.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSWIQHvJK1zx-GGx67CzzRyI9E-cs0Z9et7r2SHMoMmgLGtv4Hhfw\" class=\"alignleft\" \/>Ron&#8217;s preference is for small, dark women.  His &#8220;all the girls I wish I&#8217;d loved before&#8221; include Maria Muldaur and Annette Funicello.  Instead, he&#8217;s married to me, dear fellow.  By taking that step, he&#8217;s made a huge sacrifice for our family&#8217;s benefit.  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/t2.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTL_kG2T2GSK9DNpEbAtfiGv3olGUjy-w4c65nRio89r4ZnekJV\" class=\"alignright\"\/>Put into that perspective, I can easily live with his faults.
