{"id":13613,"date":"2018-10-08T09:00:35","date_gmt":"2018-10-08T13:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=13613"},"modified":"2018-10-08T09:52:28","modified_gmt":"2018-10-08T13:52:28","slug":"rons-discontent-massjam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=13613","title":{"rendered":"Ron&#8217;s Discontent; MassJam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ron has been quietly complaining since he got here about things he missed from the Bay Area, everything from &#8220;cheap&#8221; Mexican food to access to a gym to a workshop for his tools.<\/p><p>I&#8217;ve sought out numerous ways to fill in these gaps: the Woods Hole Folk Music Society, for example, provided a way for him to exercise his stagehand chops until he got bored with it.<\/p><p>Last month, Ron joined a pilot men&#8217;s fitness group led by the VNA and signed up for swimming twice a week at a local timeshare resort.\u00a0 These seem to have filled the gym\/exercise void.\u00a0 For now.<\/p><p>I found a way to pay for the new room &#8211; which, fair to say, I&#8217;ve been enjoying immensely &#8211; to properly store his substantial music collection.\u00a0 On impulse, I also paid for rough shelves to line a designated shop area.<\/p><p>He&#8217;s taken little interest in either, which now that I&#8217;ve gotten to know him better, <span style=\"display: inline !important; float: none; background-color: transparent; color: #333333; cursor: text; font-family: 'Noto Serif',serif; font-size: 17px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-decoration: none; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;\">isn&#8217;t a surprise<\/span>.<\/p><p>Unless under some influence or other, Ron<span style=\"display: inline !important; float: none; background-color: transparent; color: #333333; cursor: text; font-family: 'Noto Serif',serif; font-size: 17px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-decoration: none; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;\"> is unhappy.\u00a0 He lives in his own world most of the time.<\/span><\/p><p>The Western Mass.
