{"id":1320,"date":"2009-12-30T08:26:47","date_gmt":"2009-12-30T13:26:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/wp\/?p=1320"},"modified":"2009-12-30T08:26:47","modified_gmt":"2009-12-30T13:26:47","slug":"splurge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=1320","title":{"rendered":"Splurge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, James was nice enough to go out with me in wind chill of 0 degree weather to the Wareham Home Depot.<br \/>\nThis was a stop on the way to Target, so he could cash in his Christmas gift card.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been looking for drawer and cabinet pulls for the kitchen and finally settled on this one <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/s7d5.scene7.com\/is\/image\/LevolorOnline\/amerock_pn_BP53721-GPH?&wid=325&hei=248&fmt=jpg&qlt=100,0&layer=comp&op_usm=1.1,0.5,1,0\" border=\"0\" \/> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amerock.com\/products\/item-1240\/128mm-pull-westerly\" target=\"_blank\">Amerock<\/a>.<\/p><p><!--more--><br \/>\nThis simple change improves and updates the look of the kitchen, and the graphite finish almost matches the hinges, thus saving a ton of work.<br \/>\nI talked myself into a splurge on new oak floor registers for the living room and kitchen.  The old metal ones were in terrible shape and needed to be replaced.<br \/>\nTo be done:<br \/>\nTouch up paint in living room and stairway pulldown<br \/>\nRefinish end table in living room, bureau and nightstand in bedroom<br \/>\nDecide on paint colors for bathroom, kitchen and bedroom<br \/>\nRepair ceiling in bedroom<br \/>\nGood winter projects, and since I can&#8217;t work outside, it&#8217;s a boost to the morale to improve conditions inside.  I&#8217;ve neglected this house for 8 years.
