Yesterday, I overseeded the bare areas, fewer than I thought would be needed, with some seed that has been in the basement here for years.  It&#8217;ll be interesting if it &#8220;takes&#8221;.  If it doesn&#8217;t, I still have time to use something else.<br \/>\nSpent a good part of the day at nurseries: the East Sandwich Agway, who were participating in a multi-business Route 6A open house, and Mahoney&#8217;s, who were running gardening seminars. Got a lot of excellent info on composting, bulbs, lawns and winter prep.<\/p><p><!--more--><br \/>\nPlanted a couple of mums Mahoney&#8217;s gave me for free, filled in the front with coreopsis and some tiny, exquisite, deep blue Delphs.  Hoping Peter can help me with the Miss Kim today.<br \/>\nFluffles did extremely well at the groomer&#8217;s this week, and it looks like we&#8217;ve found a good vet, a cat-owner himself.  At age 16, Fluffles is the equivalent of a human 80 year old.<br \/>\nJames and Emme stayed over this past Friday, and after an omelet and waffle breakfast, we attended the Bourne Historical Society&#8217;s biennial Harvest Fest.  Lots of good food and drink, and the kids made crafts, including a cute scarecrow that James gave me for the garden.<br \/>\nPeter was ecstatic, he and Bonnie had great card readings last week.<br \/>\nAutumnal Equinox at 5:18 PM tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Start of week 3 with the new grass.
