Infant grass, and it&#8217;s spotty, but it is definitely there, right on schedule and as promised.<br \/>\nI can&#8217;t believe it.<\/p><p><!--more--><br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been watering for the last week, at least twice a day, and it hasn&#8217;t been fun.<br \/>\nA 100 foot garden hose holds about 8 gallons of water and weighs about 75 pounds, including the weight of the hose.<br \/>\nSo, for the last week, I&#8217;ve been working with 35-40 pounds and 75 pounds of hose and water for 15-20 minutes at a time, twice daily.<br \/>\nNo wonder I&#8217;ve been so tired at end of day.<br \/>\nAnyway, this morning (or did it start last night), we had a real downpour.  Right now, the sky is overcast.  Should be a good weekend for growing grass; as they say, September is the best month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The back yard has grass.
