ABC’s Primetime Thursday did a story last night on the American porn industry, which is now a $10 billion cancer<\/a>, “bigger than the NFL, the NBA and Major League Baseball combined”.<\/p>


\nThe special told the story of two young women who were recruited at age 18 to be raped, beaten and abused by enthusiastic male “actors”.
\nPrimetime reported that the “actresses” in these films are often victims of childhood sexual abuse. Furthermore, because of the refined sensibilities of those who buy porn, the use of condoms is discouraged. As a result, AIDS is now a major health problem for this “industry”.
\nSome of the nation’s largest entertainment conglomerates and hotels are purveyors of porn, including Rupert Murdoch, whose company owns the politically conservative Fox News; Time Warner; Comcast; and the Marriott.
\nThe Omni hotels, much to their honor, have refused to offer porn to their guests, a decision which they estimate costs them $1 million in lost annual revenues.
\nAfter listening to this program, I have a suggestion for the producers of porn films. Since money is your only object, why don’t you put yourselves in front of the camera, firing squad style, and supply your starlets with semi-automatics?
\nFor a CD or DVD showing you being sent to the Hell you deserve, I’d gladly pay, oh, $250.
