It rained all day yesterday, but work started anyway on the new spare room in the basement.\u00a0 Framing is pretty much complete, the suspended ceiling frame is in place and John put up most of the sheet rock.<\/p>
Ron did Robert driving both ways.\u00a0 He also made a trip to Home Depot to return a door they sent in error and to pick up the correct one.\u00a0 On his way back from Hyannis, he picked up Peter and brought him back here so Peter could borrow the truck.\u00a0 I told him to let Alpha know that their guest room was on its way.<\/p>
Ron and I had cleared out almost the entire work area the day before and finished it up by about 8:45 am with help.\u00a0 We didn’t need to rent a storage unit.\u00a0 That was a relief.<\/p>
I was able to pull hard drives out of two old computers so we can recycle the cases and the rest of the innards.\u00a0 Our Christmas boxes are in the attic.\u00a0 We parked a few items in the living room.\u00a0 The back of the truck and the rest of the cellar are jammed.<\/p>
We might see the electrician before John comes back this weekend.<\/p>
My welcome sign caused a shitstorm with the people across the street.\u00a0 I revised it to “Hi Neighbor” rather than “Dear Realtor” and taped it to one of our windows.<\/p>
Had a long conversation about it with the social justice reporter from the Globe yesterday.<\/p>
I left a request for realtor help at several places but have heard nothing.\u00a0 Wrote to the Tribe’s housing director this morning.<\/p>
Meanwhile, I got approved for a fee waiver from the state Republican convention this Saturday and reserved a spot on the bus from Barnstable to Worcester.<\/p>
More irritating correspondence yesterday about the SPEA website.\u00a0 I finally got the IP and login creds for their new server, so uploaded files last night.\u00a0 They are way overpaying for hosting, too bad.<\/p>
Ron performed one final heroic act by finding and resetting the dishwasher circuit breaker, which had tripped in a brief power outage.<\/p>
