{"id":126,"date":"2004-05-23T21:06:38","date_gmt":"2004-05-24T02:06:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/wp\/?p=126"},"modified":"2004-05-23T21:06:38","modified_gmt":"2004-05-24T02:06:38","slug":"yard-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=126","title":{"rendered":"Yard Work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, I picked Peter up today to do our weekly run to the transfer station and saw, to my incredulous eyes, that he had MOWED THE LAWN.<\/p><p><!--more--><br \/>\nWhen we got back from the dump run, he mentioned how annoyed he was with some overgrown shrubs on the driveway side of the house.  Since it was a good day with no particular plans ahead, I offered to help him hack at them.<br \/>\nI should mention that as far as we can tell, the previous owner(s) of the house did almost nothing to the landscaping.  This would be the third season we&#8217;ve worked on it, good change being slow.  We&#8217;ve had trees professionally pruned and removed, replaced bushes, planted a garden, weeded constantly, etc.  But there&#8217;s always something else to do.<br \/>\nPeter hates yardwork as much as I enjoy it, so I was pleased when he took me up on my offer.
