{"id":12141,"date":"2017-09-10T13:16:41","date_gmt":"2017-09-10T17:16:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=12141"},"modified":"2017-09-16T11:29:26","modified_gmt":"2017-09-16T15:29:26","slug":"afternoon-in-cotuit-evening-in-dennis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=12141","title":{"rendered":"Afternoon in Cotuit; Evening in Dennis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alpha and I went to the Cotuit Library for a lecture on Japanese art.\u00a0They attended the lecture, I worked downstairs.<\/p><p>We saw signs for and were lucky enough to be able to visit the Cotuit museum, which is run by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cotuithistoricalsociety.org\/cotuit-museum.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Historical Society of Santuit and Cotuit<\/a>. It&#8217;s an exquisite museum co-located with the beautifully restored Samuel Dottridge Homestead.<\/p><p>Yesterday evening, all three of us visited the Cape Cod Playhouse for the first time to see the final performance of the season, &#8220;The Best of Second City&#8221;. I thought Alpha seeded the best ad lib of the night with their suggestion &#8220;Butterfly Screams&#8221; in the emo\/punk rock genre.<\/p><p><a
