{"id":10756,"date":"2016-09-10T12:17:41","date_gmt":"2016-09-10T17:17:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=10756"},"modified":"2016-09-10T12:17:41","modified_gmt":"2016-09-10T17:17:41","slug":"garden-update-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecapeblog.com\/?p=10756","title":{"rendered":"Garden Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today I pulled out a bunch of vines and corn stalks, and harvested several cukes and a handful of Kentucky Wonders.<\/p><p>Asparagus, rhubarb, tomatoes, cukes, basil, rosemary, green onions, garlic and beans did fine-to-great in spite of the drout, and we got one gorgeous Earlidew melon.  No complaints about lettuce from earlier in the season, either.<\/p><p>What failed?  Corn, radishes, squash, brussel sprouts, strawberries except for the tiny ones.  <\/p><p>Next year, I&#8217;d like to try Japanese eggplant.
