A/Cs; Wood

I drove Alpha to work yesterday, then James and I loaded the truck with cherry wood, which I dropped off at Emma’s along with some oak leaves.

Ron did a little maintenance on the A/Cs, mostly cleaning; he installed the newer one in our bedroom yesterday and the other in “his” room this morning. Thank goodness. It’s 84 and humid outside, not so bad in the shade, unendurable in the sun.

Ron found the “missing” soaker in the front fence garden!

Smokey has dropped in twice already.

We started watching “What The Health” on Netflix last night. I was inspired to order three raw food cookbooks this morning, something I’ve been thinking about for over a year.

Made two big salads for lunch, green and Waldorf. Pasta and salad for supper.

Today, we got laundry (lots) and transfer station done. Ron removed the old sticker and affixed the new. We fit the rest of the wood on the truck; Ron will cut it up tomorrow. He mounted the bat house and I watered the garden at Edgewater. It’s 5:15 and we are just wrapping up.

Ron Gets It Done

Ron hauled a truckload of branches to the transfer station. The “U” looks so much better, except that one of the big hibiscus plants was smashed. Ron reserved oak leaves for Emma’s sheep. He even made a nice monkfish and seven vegetable* stir-fry!

James put up his new curtains, and they look great! I ordered another set for his third window.

Had a helpful conversation with a Rockland mortgage person yesterday. He identified yet another piece of BS that we’ve been fed from Mike’s “algorithm”, this time, about escrowing, which is not required with a loan:value less than 80%.

I am keen on replacing the vanities and medicine cabinets at Edgewater.
