Cards Are Done

We finished the holiday cards today.  I held them up for Ron to view in his bed of pain and he picked who to send them to.

Brought them to the PO for the 2 pm dispatch.  Learned that the evening dispatch is at 6.

No yard work, no errands, kept the dishes at bay.  Worked on the “web project” for Jim.

Picked up scratch tix for C&C and a MegaMillions for us.  Wouldn’t that be something?

Taxi; Yardwork

Mulched leaves in the front yard.

Cleaned out the little front garden at Edgewater.

Drove Robert to and from work.  Drove Alpha to and from YAG.

While in Yarmouth, picked up some half price produce at the Capabilities Farm and a wooden chair for $5 at the Habitat thrift shop.  Now we all can sit when Kitty visits.

Pizza and salad for supper.

Errands; Ron is Sick

Picked up Rx at Walmart, ink cartridge at Staples, closed my account at BofA, made a deposit and got the kids’ Christmas money and envelopes at First Citizens’, picked up bargains at Jack in the Beanstalk.

Printed the holiday card labels and got mine stamped and mailed.  Dropped off music DVDs at the library for Ron and picked up Robert.

MRS website went live!

Ron is feeling miserable and went to bed at 6:30.  He was okay until about 2, then it hit him like a club.

Saw workers PLANTING at a municipal location on Gifford Street.  It’s a week before Christmas, for Pete’s sake!

Bathroom Sink

Tom from BCL was here yesterday to undo our plumbing errors and show me how to drain the bathroom sink.

I made vegetable stew.

Set up Ron’s old printer in the bedroom and found Windows 7 drivers that work with Windows 10.  Ordered ink cartridges from eBay and Staples.

Found the mailing labels for holiday cards!

Ordered a Levothyroxin refill from Walmart.

Ron did some roof raking yesterday.  Lot of melt today.

We are done with Christmas expenses: P&B, kids, friends, paper delivery and transfer station people.  I got Ron a new shaving brush.

Made plans to see Cathy and Cindy this weekend.

Still Hacking

The cold is slowly going away and I was feeling well enough to roast vegetables for a stew or chili tomorrow.

Peter, who was in Dennis today with Bonnie and the Nowiks, scored 10 pounds of tomatoes for us at the Capabilities Farm!  I am psyched.

Ron did laundry, we changed sheets and I did the transfer station run.

On the way back, picked up a bagel for Robert, cinnamon rolls for us and a breakfast pastry for the Winslows at Panera.

Ron brought Robert home and stopped for a Sunday 2-fer at Pizza Prima.

Finnish Bread

Ron picked up our holiday braids from Janet yesterday.  This is the fifth year we’ve enjoyed her marvelous breads; it’s become a tradition that we look forward to.

Paul got his first New Yorker this week.

Ron refilled the bird feeders yesterday.  Smart; we got snow last night.  Ron shoveled.

Tried to clean the trap under the sink.  Couldn’t move the nuts; think some genius glued them.  Ron thinks he “knows (the) guy”.

Joe got home yesterday.

Shovelable but Light

First snow accumulation.  Didn’t take us long to shovel and sweep.  Bright sun this afternoon.

I have a cold.

Continued working on the stupid drapes.

Brought home two days’ worth of food from Domino’s.  Good, too!

Good Times: and Senator-Elect Jones!

It’s cold out, not only because the temp is below freezing, but the wind is crazy.

After due diligence, got new Black Lion tires today at Cape & Islands.  $500 plus tax.

Got first check from UI yesterday.  I had a good medical checkup and so did Ron, today.

Dropping off an early Christmas present for Peter and Bonnie this evening: Cape Cod coffee, coffee, coffee and some spices.

Ron got himself some new long johns.

Triumphant day for all of us yesterday thanks to Alabama Senator-elect Doug Jones!  So glad we contributed to his campaign.

Peter’s Birthday

Kitty was here, so Ron was on point to drop off Peter’s gifts and pick up Robert for work.  We got Peter a set of Rubbermaid containers and a gift cert to Gustare.

I brought the truck to Midas; they found a leak near the O2 sensor and fixed it for no charge.

Picked up more lights for the big front bush at Job Lot.  We put them on with little effort.

Laura came back last night.
