Landlords No More

We closed on Edgewater this morning. So proud of P&B, achieving the American dream, and without college degrees! They increased their net worth by about 100 grand the second the papers were filed with the Registry!

Our lawyer drove from Chatham and I hope she had time to get back to her office for her next appointment.

We deposited the proceeds to our joint account. We should be able to draw on it as early as Monday.

Turns out, P&B did need an appraisal, and it came in at $344k. And to think we got a shit offer of $191.6 back in November, only four months ago. Of course, that was before the remodeling, but even so, we paid substantially less than the $50,000 that some (idiot) realtors insisted we had to spend.

After the closing, Ron dropped off borrowings at Falmouth library and old meds at the Falmouth Hospital pharmacy. We had coffee and treats at Coffee Obsession. Then Ron perused the bike shop across the street and was delighted to find models that he likes – and for the same money as one of his favorite West Coast stores. He’s happy.

I’ve been thinking about raking, but it feels early. One garden blog recommends waiting until the daytime temperatures are consistently above 50 degrees F.

Meanwhile, snow is predicted for tonight into tomorrow morning. It’s raw and unpleasant outside. Ron is off to get gas for the snow blower. I don’t think we’ll need it.

Nightmares last night, probably from regret that Elizabeth Warren ended her race and from a disappointing phone interview that brought up bad memories. I’ve really been permanently traumatized.

I signed up for NOOM yesterday, found a 50% off coupon. This was day 2. I’ve been having hip pain and don’t want to continue to stress me STAR ankle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsxcZol_FEE
