Gardener’s Diary

April and Tony worked on the front yard on Saturday (24th), didn’t have a chance to finish with the rain; got over an inch.
Nice day on Sunday, drove to Wellfleet for the finale of the 2009 conference.
Still undecided about whether to put down more sod in the back. It’s such hard work, I hate the thought of it.
Big puddle in the back at #11 where Rich removed weeds and other “junk”, need to talk with him about that and the hydroseeding at #20.

On a different subject, I’ve been amazed that Robert the Dour has been having such a good time at the UU youth group.
He even volunteered to help with a little kids’ Halloween party this Friday!
I signed up to bring tuna casserole, found some recipes online last night.
Robert had a great week shadowing Culinary, he enjoyed it, has a new perspective on waitering. He wants his own bakery, is already thinking about 4C’s.
Looks like the 529 will work out for him. At the present rate of $4,320 per year, there’ll be enough money in his account to fund his Associates degree!
