Gardener’s Diary

After reading an article that confirmed September is the time, finally transplanted the peony from Edgewater to the right hand side of the shed. Was happy to hear rain around 2 this morning (it’s still raining); maybe I won’t have to water today.

Did some more overseeding and two transfer station runs, assembled the new fire pit, set up the new (longer) soaker hose, met with a carpenter at Edgewater. New plumber rigged up a self-draining system for the dehumdifier.
Emme and James came over for a short while after school. James scored big time over the weekend at a yard sale, got the rollerblades he’s been wanting, a helmet, knee and elbow pads for only six dollars. He’s continued to improve his skating and is pleased with his progress, so he’s motivated to stick with it.
